Translate your Shopify store into the languages you sell in

What the app does

• Built on Shopify's own translation systemTranslations are saved to your store through Shopify's translation API. Shopify then serves the locale-prefixed URLs, hreflang tags, translated storefront and translated checkout. The app never proxies or rewrites your storefront.
• Automatic translation in the backgroundPick the languages you want translated automatically. The app scans your store's translatable content, sends it to a machine translation engine, and writes the results back to Shopify without you starting anything by hand.
• Covers the whole store33 Shopify content types: products and collections, pages, blog articles, menus and links, metafields and metaobjects, filters, shop policies, theme content, email templates and more.
• Stays in sync as your store changesShopify webhooks plus a scheduled check every 30 minutes detect edited source content, flag the affected translations as out of date, and re-translate them.
• Full manual controlA built-in editor lets you review and rewrite any string, with search, status filters and a rich text editor for HTML fields. Edits you make are registered with Shopify straight away. You can also exclude whole content types, single resources or individual strings from automatic translation.
• Glossary, and search and replaceKeep brand names, SKUs and product names untranslated, or pin a fixed translation for a specific term in each language. Bulk find and replace text across translations you have already published. Both are available on paid plans.
• Storefront language switcherA theme app extension adds a floating or inline language switcher to your storefront, built on Shopify's own locale URLs. You add it from the app dashboard, which opens the Shopify theme editor with the switcher ready to place and save. The app never edits your theme on its own.
• Language management in the appAdd, publish, unpublish, reorder and remove your store's Shopify languages from the app dashboard, without switching back to Shopify settings.

Plans and billing

Plans differ by how many languages you can translate automatically and by a monthly allowance of translated words. Monitoring your store for changes and verifying that translations are still in sync never consume that allowance. Current plans and prices are shown on the TranslatePress listing in the Shopify App Store, and billing is handled by Shopify.
